Restoration of a 1960s extension for a family home

Objective: to make it a warm and open space with a large family kitchen and a pleasant living room

Before: An old-fashioned kitchen, facing north, with no view of the garden.

Before: a living room with OSB veneer, treated as a secondary room, yet facing the garden.

After: the partitions fell, a real bright space, overlooking the garden and an enlarged kitchen!

After: With the addition of two windows, the living room is connected to the garden and seems immense.

Before: a 1960s stretched silk ceiling full of dust mites, faulty electrical installation and a parquet floor in need of sanding.
